Sarah's London Adventures: Italy Part 4, Rome

We had to take a 4 hour train ride to get to rome! We finally got here at about noon and found our hostel easily and then was out for thr day. We first went to the Vatican city and went to st peters basilica and then climbed to the top of the dome! It was amazing looking at Rome from up there! We then went through the Vatican museaum quickly to get to te Sistine chapel! This was nothing like I had expected! I thought it would be much smaller and not as elaborate! Candice and I walked all around it and then sat down and staired at te ceiling. I explained to her alot of the parts of the paintings and we talked about it all alot.
After that we went to thr colosseum. It is all easy to get to because there is a metro! We saw the arch the colosseum and the ruins. We spent some time there then went to the pantheon. We sat outside at a reatuarant right neaR it and had dinner! What a nice setting! After that we went to the trevie fountain ( it was dark out) had gelato and threw a coin in. Last part of the day was the Spanish stairs. They were pretty boring!! I expected something more from these stairs.
Busy busy day but we saw all of Rome!
Then we had to take our flight back to London the next morning!
